Acadia Woods Kennel
is a modern full service pet care facility, centrally located in the
small village of Town Hill on Mount Desert Island. Sited in a quiet
evergreen forest, we strive to be counted among the best kennels in
Maine. Acadia Woods Kennel was established in 1996 by the
present owner. Acadia Woods Kennel is a clean, safe, secure
environment. Our
staff provides for each pet’s individual needs. |

Dog Boarding Overnight |
|
|
|
Each dog has its own private
indoor/outdoor kennel. The inside space is 4.5 x 4.5. The outside
space is 5 x 12. We can accommodate multiple large dogs in our 6 x
4.5 inside and 6 x 12 outside kennels. Both indoor and outdoor
portions of the kennel are covered by chain link fencing to prevent
climbers from escaping. |

The outdoor portion of the run is covered by a roof so it stays
cool in the summer. During cold weather, garage doors enclose the
outdoor area which allows it to be used year round. During the
heating season, the dogs are kept comfortable with radiant heat.
During the summer, two large fans draw cool air into the kennel. |

|
The dogs are fed twice a day and given time in the play yards
twice a day. They have fresh deepwell water at all times. Pet Cots™
are supplied for their comfort.
We are feeding Precise in the kennel now. |
| Boarders from out of town
may leave the kennel to join their families for a day of fun and frolic in
Acadia. |

We offer walks on 20' Flexi leads in our
forested setting for an additional charge. |
|

Dog Boarding for the Day |
|
|
|
The MDI/Acadia area offers a wide variety of activities such
as hiking, beaching, biking, sea kayaking, whale watching,
Ranger led programs and cruises. We offer a safe place for your
dog to spend the day while you participate in these activities.
Day boarding dogs often enjoy being outdoors all day in one of
our shaded play yards. |

The cat room is upstairs away from the noise of the dog area.
Each kitty has his own private multi level condo. |
|
|
|
The kitties
receive special attention and are checked twice daily for health and well
being. The litter
box is freshened twice a day. Food and deepwell water are available at all
times. |

Birds, Bunnies, Exotics,
and Other Small Pets |

|
We do not have an established area for birds, bunnies, exotics and
other small pets,
but we try to accommodate them if the owner supplies the enclosure. |

your pet is with us past the morning hours.
One Dog:
$30.00/night.
Two dogs, One Kennel: $45/night.
Three Dogs, One Kennel: $60/night. |

Day boarding charges encompass from 7AM until
5PM. One Dog: $25/day. Dayboard 6
consecutive days and get day 7 free.
Two Dogs, One Kennel: $40/day. Dayboard 6
consecutive days and get day 7 free. Three Dogs, One
Kennel: $50/day. Dayboard 6 consecutive days and get day 7
free. |

Reservations
Reserving boarding
space is always advised.
All reservations from June 20 - October 12 must
be accompanied by a deposit of at least 50% of the value.
We accept checks, cash, or credit cards. |

Cancellations
Holiday and summer reservations must be cancelled 7 days prior to arrival
for a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. We do not refund for late
arrivals or early departures. |
