Bear Hunting
August 27 - Sept. 22
There are plenty of Maine black bear and some great bear
hunting in the Nicatous region. Come up and hunt on your
own or hire a guide to hunt over bait or with dogs.
Not only is the fall foliage here but bird season is busy
with the geese flying south, as well as mallards, teal,
wood ducks and black ducks. Woodcock and partridge will
challenge you or your dog in the local woods.
Moose Hunting
We
are located in and near sections 18 & 19. There are big
bull moose and cow moose just minutes away from the Lodge.
Come up early to scout them out or hire a local guide.
Deer Hunting
Maine deer hunting starts the last week of October. The
area we are in is known for some of the largest Whitetail
deer in Maine. This brings our regulars back season after
season for the "Big One" and challenges our newcomers to
an exciting first hunt. If you hold a doe permit we are
only minutes from the section.
Raccoon and Coyote
hunting are
always exciting and are available throughout the year out
of Nicatous Lodge and Cabins.
