In 2008, Maine bear hunting over bait
begins August 25. All our bear hunts include 6 nights
stay, 5 days of hunting, all meals, and Registered Maine
Guide, Ralph Merchant III.We pride ourselves with
having some of the best active bait hunting in our
territory, with better than average success rate!
Merchant Camps and Lodge is located in Garfield
Plantation, bordering the North Maine Woods, which is
gated and contains approximately 3.6 million acres. We
are 6 miles from the Six Mile Gate entrance to these
woods.
$1150 per person per week includes 5 days of hunting,
Lodging, meals, a Registered Maine Guide, Maine taxes
and gate fees. Hunting license not included. Group rates
are available. Kids 15 and under 1/2 price. Now booking
